Julian Burrett
Passionate about stories, however they are told, Julian is as big a fan of the way a narrative looks as where it takes you. Words and pictures complementing each other are where he's most comfortable - in his day job of advertising, working with Chris, and for his next project bringing the second issue of Chris Smith to the comic world.

The cast
There's more behind Emmy and the Whale than Chris and Julian. Below are just a sample of the people that helped bring it to life.

Lisa Clor
Stylist, Costume, In-camera SFX
Lisa has worked within the Fashion Industry for many years, on projects ranging from Advertising stills shoots to Film and Television productions. She has designed and manufactured her own women and children’s clothing lines and can easily create, adapt and tailor clothing for specific requirements. Lisa specialises in fashion styling, wardrobe, props and interior design and always brings maximum effort and attention to detail, to each project.

I’ve enjoyed children’s books since being a child.
An American children’s book publisher had a holiday cottage down a leafy, Wye Valley lane from where Julian and I grew up. I met Maurice Sendak there. And used to speak Double Dutch to him. Apparently he found me amusing.
Now Julian’s the funnier of us two brothers. Figure that.
